You made a vision board, now what?
If you’re in a rut and want this year to be different, but you aren’t quite sure where to begin, I highly recommend creating a vision board. They’re fun to make and, more importantly, I promise that they really do work.
Before I begin, I should clarify that a vision board doesn’t have to be a board. If arts and crafts aren’t your thing, you can write a list or even save images on your phone. The only requirement is that your “board” should be visual and easily accessible.
Now, let’s dive into the 3 steps to creating and implementing your vision board.
STEP 1: DAYDREAM
This is the fun part!
This is not the time to put lame or vague goals like “pay my rent” or “go to the gym more”. What do you really want in life — what are things that seem so lofty, so unattainable that you’re almost embarrassed to say them out loud? These are the things that you should put on your board. It can be a dream job, a travel destination, your ideal salary, even adjectives of how you want to feel. Nothing is off limits. Whether it’s personal or professional, this is your life and why shouldn’t you get everything you want?
This is one of my old vision boards.
