I’m always looking to add to my income streams, preferably with minimal effort, so I was intrigued when I came across Avail.

Avail is an airport-based car-sharing service where car owners can make money while they travel. The Avail website succinctly summed up the rental process while addressing the biggest pain points for travelers:

1. Drop off your car, and the awaiting shuttle will whisk you away to your terminal. No paying for a costly Uber.
2. While you’re away, you can earn up to $35/day if your vehicle is shared. Regardless, parking is free and you can avoid paying for expensive airport parking.
3. Come back from your travels to another waiting shuttle that will take you back to your professionally cleaned car.

I started by setting up an account on Avail’s website, which took about 10 minutes. The application is short and easy to follow. I answered a few basic questions about my car (make, model, year, mileage, insurance information, etc.) to confirm my car qualified. Then I plugged in my travel dates, and I was good to go.
