All Michelle Baker wanted was to get married and start a family. The divorced, 33-year old paramedic thought her dreams had come true when she met Dr. Maynard Muntzing. Also divorced, the handsome doctor seemed equally enamored with Michelle, and the two began a whirlwind courtship.
When Michelle became pregnant, she was ecstatic. But soon after that, she began experiencing severe cramping and bleeding. A hidden camera placed by Michelle would ultimately reveal the heartbreaking reason for her mysterious illness.
It started off too good to be true
Michelle and Maynard’s relationship seemed straight out of a modern-day fairytale. Within one month of meeting, Maynard moved into Michelle’s home in Huber Heights, Ohio. Maynard already had two children from a previous relationship. Still, he seemed genuinely overjoyed when Michelle told him that she was pregnant with his child.
In an over-the-top romantic gesture, Maynard whisked Michelle to Key West with the promise of a sunset beach wedding. But the marriage never happened. At the last minute, Maynard got cold feet and asked Michelle to postpone their nuptials.
