An unidentified woman had been strangled and dumped in a ravine two days before Christmas
When Detective Wanner of Cumru Township Police in Pennsylvania first met psychic Dr. Lauren Thibodeau, he wasn’t sure what to expect.
He had never consulted a psychic before, and certainly not on a homicide investigation. But the victim’s family, desperate for answers, had enlisted the help of Dr. Thibodeau.
With nothing to lose, Detective Wanner decided to hear her out.
“This lady’s crazy”
When Detective Wanner visited Dr. Thibodeau, he didn’t introduce himself as a police officer. He didn’t even tell her the real reason for his visit. She thought he was there for a reading.
To his surprise, Dr. Thibodeau already knew who he was. Guessing that he was in law enforcement, she informed him that he was working on two murder cases, one of which was very old. So old it had “been on a shelf for many years.”
Detective Wanner confirmed he was a police officer. Still, he gently corrected her that he was working on only one homicide. Dr. Thibodeau wasn’t buying it. Not only would he work on a cold case murder, she insisted, but he would solve it.
