That's a great point about the stigma of sexual assault in the 1960s. It's mind-blowing how far we've come since then and sad how far we still have yet to go. But I suspect that if Carol Ann had been raped and killed during a date, she would have been subjected to the whole "what were you wearing and what did you do to encourage it" line of questioning.
