34-year-old Diane Newton King was a news anchor at WUHQ-TV station in Battle Creek, Michigan. In addition to being a star reporter, Diane’s striking good looks and dynamic personality made her a local celebrity in her hometown of Marshall, Michigan.

Diane’s personal life seemed just as idyllic as her professional accomplishments. Married to Brad King, her husband of four years, the couple had two beautiful children, ages three and three months.

Diane lived life to the fullest and had big plans for her future. When she wasn’t working or caring for her children, she volunteered at a soup kitchen and aided disadvantaged children. As a proud member of the Mohawk nation, Diane also dreamed of making documentaries about Native Americans one day.

Tragically, none of her future dreams would come to be. Diane was shot dead in her driveway on February 9, 1991, while her two children lay crying in their car seats.
